Distribution

Cratiria lauricassiae has been found in Western Australia, Queensland, the Northern Territory and Asia ([2]) as well as Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and the Americas [1].

The species may not occur in all mangrove areas within its distribution. The following list gives Australian locations where this lichen has been reported definitely from mangrove habitats or on mangrove substrates -

Australian substrates

It occurs on bark or wood [1] and has been found on Rhizophora [Australian National Herbarium collection JA Elix 34605, seen May 2011].
